Stampo: Scrapbook Camera — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 May 2026
Short version
Your photos and your canvas live on your device — we don’t run a server that sees them. The only data Stampo ever sends off-device is a pseudonymous subscription receipt, used to confirm your Stampo Pro entitlement via Apple and RevenueCat. Nothing else.
1. Who we are
Stampo is published by Akhaneva (“we,” “us,” “our”). This policy describes how the Stampo iOS app handles information.
2. What we collect
Stampo does not include any analytics SDK, advertising SDK, crash reporter, or telemetry pipeline. We do not see your IP, and we have no record of how you use the app.
The data the app needs to function — your captured photos and your canvas layout — is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. It never leaves your device.
The single exception is subscription management. To know whether your Stampo Pro subscription is active, the app talks to Apple’s In-App Purchase service via RevenueCat. The only thing that leaves your device for that purpose is a pseudonymous subscription identifier — see section 6 for details.
3. Camera access
Stampo requests access to your iPhone camera only so it can take the photo when you tap the in-app shutter. Captures are written directly to the app’s local storage. No frame, preview, or capture is ever uploaded.
You can revoke camera permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → Stampo. The rest of the app continues to work for browsing existing stamps.
4. Photo library access
Stampo does not currently request access to your Photos library. If a future version adds Photos export or import, that will require its own explicit permission prompt.
5. Children
Stampo is rated 4+ and is safe for general audiences. It does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Stampo Pro is sold through Apple In-App Purchase. When you subscribe (Monthly, Annual) or buy the Lifetime unlock, your payment, billing address, and Apple ID are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card details, and we do not receive your name, email, or postal address.
We use RevenueCat to validate and manage subscription entitlements. The Stampo app sends RevenueCat a pseudonymous, app-generated identifier and the Apple-signed purchase receipt. RevenueCat returns whether your Pro entitlement is active, and the app unlocks premium frames accordingly. RevenueCat may also receive standard request metadata (device model, OS version, app version, transient IP for fraud prevention).
RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, photos, canvas, or any other content you create in Stampo. Their handling is governed by RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
If you start the 7-day free trial and cancel before it ends, no purchase data is sent because no charge occurred. You can manage or cancel subscriptions any time in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
7. Third parties
Stampo does not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or attribution SDKs. The third parties we do rely on, and their narrow purpose:
- Apple — the App Store, App Store Connect, In-App Purchase, and TestFlight. Governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
- RevenueCat — subscription entitlement validation only, as described in section 6. Governed by RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
That’s the entire list.
8. Data retention & deletion
Because Stampo stores data only on your device, you control retention completely. Delete a stamp in the app, or delete the app itself, to remove the data. We have no copy to delete on your behalf.
9. Your rights
Regulations like GDPR and CCPA give users rights over personal data. Because we do not collect personal data, those rights are satisfied by default. If you still want a written response to a privacy request, email us and we’ll confirm in writing that we hold nothing about you.
10. Changes to this policy
If we add features that change how data is handled — for example, optional iCloud sync — we’ll update this page and bump the “last updated” date before that feature ships. Material changes will also be surfaced in-app.
